Winchester Brocade Liturgical Fabric
Winchester is a design that has stood the test of time. The pattern, first woven in 1862, is an elegant Gothic design which incorporates an Ogee, Fleur-de-lis, and Rose Figure. The pattern repeat is a medium size, which makes it easy and useful for a variety of church vestments. Winchester cuts beautifully for use in making pastoral, eucharistic, and deacon stoles. The scale works well on small pieces such as chalice veils, as well as larger pieces such as chasubles, copes, and altar hangings. Winchester is one of the few Liturgical Patterns available in a Rose Color for use on Laetare and Gaudette Sundays during the Seasons of Advent and Lent. Winchester is also available in both Violet and Roman Purple for use during the season of Lent.*
