Glastonbury Brocade Fabric
Glastonbury is a deeply symbolic liturgical fabric pattern designed by William Perkins around 1890. This church vestment fabric combines the Rose and Crown of Thorns. The design owes its name to the ancient legend of the Glastonbury Thorn said to have been planted by Joseph of Arimathea. The ecclesiastical fabric is available in an assortment of colors, including Ivory, Red, Green, Violet, Roman Purple, and Gold. The pattern repeat is small, making it easy to work with for those just starting out making church vestments. Seasoned ecclesiastical vestment makers will find this liturgical fabric works well as a staple in their line of favorite church fabrics. This fabric has been used for many years and will continue to be used because of its rich heritage.*
