It has taken almost two years for our dream to become a reality. This dream began with a search to find the fabrics, patterns, embroidery designs and knowledge needed for the making of church vestments and altar linens, only to find that these things were often difficult to come by. And so a dream was born to a user-friendly website that offers a line of fine liturgical fabrics for making vestments, vestment patterns ( the first one is available, and we will have more within the next month or so), altar linens, embroidery motifs, and so much more. But more than that, the website needs resources, and sources of inspiration and encouragement for those interested in making their own vestments. And so,
We are pleased to announce that our online store front
is now open.
So that you our loyal readers may enjoy the Grand Opening celebration of our new storefront, we would like to announce our Grand Opening Special, which is a free pastoral stole pattern BUY IN NOW with the purchase of a pastoral stole fabric kit. Simply purchase any pastoral stole kit and note in the special comments that you would like to receive a free pastoral stole pattern. If you have ever wanted to learn how to make a pastoral stole, this is a great way to give it a try.
So what, you may be asking, is a pastoral stole kit?
A pastoral stole kit is a collection of a pre-cut piece of a liturgical fabric, that is 14 1/2″ wide by approximately 57″ long, a piece of cotton canvas fabric that is approximately 14″ wide by 57″ long, and lining fabric that is 12″ wide by 57″ long. The pastoral stole kit is enough fabric to make a single stole.
We have a wide range of fabrics available in our pastoral stole kits: there are liturgical brocade fabrics, metallic brocades, silk dupioni fabrics, and tapestry fabrics to name a few. All of the liturgical colors are available from white, cream, and red to black, blue, green, gold, Roman purple, violet and rose.
In addition to the pastoral stole kits, you will find narrow trims, orphrey braids, downloadable machine embroidery designs, tassels, and stole trim kits to aid in creating a unique and beautiful pastoral stole. We also stock a beautiful line of Irish linen fabrics for use in making church linens and altar linens. Stay tuned for an announcement about a special offer for our altar linens.
We invite you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter where we will be announcing additional specials that are available only from those sites. We have lots of new products that will be coming in the next few weeks and months, including a line of lovely satin lining fabrics available in a nice range of liturgical colors. We will keep you posted on when they arrive.
Wooden Slate frames and embroidery trestles will be available before the Christmas holidays, if all goes well for those who love hand embroidery.
We also have many new machine embroidery designs that are in the works in the coming weeks and months. New sewing patterns are in the works, and several styles of chasuble patterns should be available within the next several weeks. So keep stopping by to see what is new, what projects are in the works.
Soli Deo Gloria
